CONNER SELLS PROMARK COMPANY

(CINCINNATI)—Promark Company, Cincinnati’s first outplacement company, has changed ownership. Nancy Schellhous Conner, Promark’s president and owner since 1978, sold the company to Tim Schoonover, CEO of Promark Company. Schoonover has been with Promark for 15 years and was named CEO in 2003.

The plan to sell Promark took 24 months culminating with the completion of the sale in April. Details of the sale remain closed. Schoonover and Conner worked together to make a smooth transition for clients and employees while aligning the company for growth. In the first quarter since the sale, Schoonover is confident that Promark will be able to provide the excellent quality of service to the market for which it is known.

“It is an honor and privilege to be entrusted in carrying Nancy’s company into the future,” said Schoonover. “Promark Company employees are dedicated to assisting organizations to manage human capital and we look forward to this new chapter in Promark’s history.”

Promark Company will continue specializing in career transition services and other products including co-relocation and leadership coaching.

Conner remains connected to Promark as president of the organization.

Conner started Promark Company 35 years ago with her parents before outplacement was a common practice. She has also been influential in the career transition industry beyond the Cincinnati area by being a founding member of OI Partners, Inc., the world’s largest career transition distribution system. OI Partners is a virtual corporation owned by 22 organizations with over 200 offices worldwide. In addition to its Cincinnati office, Promark Company serves Columbus, Dayton and Mason.
